Meda is eternal; she will live in my heart forever. When this series will be over, I will not be forgetting her.

She is an utterly unforgettable character. And so developed you could even think she is a real person from time to time.

I love her.

Although, what I like the most about her is the fact that she neither is good nor bad. She’s not perfect as a person—not at all—but that’s what makes her so easy to connect with. Maybe not relate to, but connect for sure. You may be surprised to hear this but friendship is very important to her. She is loyal…but her nature (demon kind) will always try to get in the way.

Oh, Armand.

He was introduced at the end of book one, Cracked, and we get to see him again in this sequel. He and Meda, they become…well-acquainted. Meda isn’t reckless enough to actually trust the guy since, you know, demon. Or is she? Of course, he has his charms. *suggestive eyebrows*

This is how I see him:

He’s cute, likeable, sigh-worthy and a demon. Let’s not forget that!

Still, I couldn’t help but fall for him too. Really, I enjoyed reading about every character in this story, which happens quite rarely.

The plot was pretty different from book one since now she is at school and confined in her room. Could you believe that? Meda being leashed? (As a manner of speaking.) Is that even possible? Of course, she has her ways of breaking the rules and having fun being aloud to leave the school or not. You know what I’m talking about. *winks*

Eliza Crewe has a very special writing style. It’s riveting and brings every character to life. I wouldn’t change a thing, if I were her.

I tried thinking about what this book could be missing, only to come to the conclusion that it has it all; romance, friendship, action, ass-kicking, villains, feelings.

This story may not be for everyone, but it definitely is one you should at least give a try. Maybe it’s not for you, but there’s also the chance that it steals your heart away, right from the start, as it did to me.

This series is, for me, one hundred percent pure entertainment. Feeling bored all of the sudden? Start reading Cracked/Crushed and feel the story—especially Meda—dissolving your emotional state of boredom!

Eliza Crewe always thought she’d be a lawyer, and even went so far as to complete law school. But as they say, you are what you eat, and considering the number of books Eliza has devoured since childhood, it was inevitable she’d end up in the literary world. She abandoned the lawyer-plan to instead become a librarian and now a writer.

While she’s been filling notebooks with random scenes for years, Eliza didn’t seriously commit to writing an entire novel until the spring of 2011, when she and her husband bought a house. With that house came a half-hour commute, during which Eliza decided she needed something to think about other than her road-rage. Is it any surprise she wrote a book about a blood-thirsty, people-eating monster?

Eliza has lived in Illinois, Edinburgh, and Las Vegas, and now lives in North Carolina with her husband, her hens, her angry, talking, stuffed dwarf giraffe, and a sweet, mute, pantomiming bear. She likes to partially-complete craft projects, free-range her hens, and take long walks.
